Jeff Escalante is an accomplished engineering director with over a decade of experience in web-focused engineering and leadership. He is a skilled technical strategist who has guided several fast-growing companies towards long-term success. Jeff has an extensive background in neuroscience, human psychology, and music, which give him a unique perspective in his work as an engineer.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jeff has worked with major global brands such as Burton, Red Bull, Rolex, and Bloomberg, among others. He has built websites, tools, apps, and physical installations for these companies, showcasing his diverse set of skills spanning graphic design, photography, and fabrication (wood, metal & electronics). Besides, he has managed software engineering teams from startup to IPO-phase companies.

Currently, Jeff is an Engineering Director at Vercel, where he manages a team of 10+ talented engineers building next.js, and a few other related areas. Prior to his role at Vercel, Jeff was an Engineering Lead for the Web Platform and Senior Engineering Manager at HashiCorp. Additionally, he was a Senior Manager of Marketing Technology and Lead Environment Developer for Carrot - The VICE Digital Agency.

Jeff holds a BS in Neuroscience from Hamilton College, where he also worked as a Career Center Tech AI. During his sabbatical, Jeff traveled to explore new cultures and ideas. In his free time, he enjoys building furniture, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and planning to open a bagel shop.
