Jeff Chapin

Jeff Chapin is an entrepreneur and designer who co-founded Casper, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, and served as its Chief Product Officer from January 2014 to February 2021.2 He has dedicated his career to making an impact through design and engineering, working on various products from mattresses to clean water systems.1

After his time at Casper, Chapin co-founded Haven Energy in June 2022, where he currently serves as Co-Founder.2 Haven Energy is a climate tech company focused on accelerating the adoption of home battery systems and building a more resilient energy infrastructure.3

Prior to Casper, Chapin's experience includes:

1. Founder of Commonmade (August 2013 - April 2016), developing market-based solutions for sanitation, hand hygiene, clean water, and irrigation needs in developing countries.2

2. Designer at IDEO (July 2004 - August 2013), where he worked on product design, engineering, and concept development for various clients.2

3. First Mover Fellow at The Aspen Institute (2012 - 2013).2

Chapin holds a BSE in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and an MS in Product Design from Stanford University.2 His career has been driven by a desire to address fundamental human needs and make a positive impact through design and technology.34
