Jeff Axup

Dr. Jeff Axup is a seasoned user experience professional with over 15 years of expertise in interaction design and qualitative research. He has a Ph.D. in Interaction Design, specializing in mobile and wearable design research. Jeff has a diverse background, spanning hardware, software, enterprise, consumer, and mobile UX design.

Throughout his career, Jeff has excelled in leadership roles, leading and mentoring teams in research, design, and innovation projects. He has a particular interest in security and technical enterprise product UX. Jeff has the experience of leading a wearables startup, an enterprise Internet security team, and an enterprise UX consultancy group.

In terms of education, Jeff attended South Eugene High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Oregon. He further pursued his academic journey by studying Philosophy and completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Design at The University of Queensland.

Jeff's professional journey includes roles at reputable organizations such as Synopsys Inc, where he serves as a Senior User Experience Designer. He has previously held leadership positions at Bosch, Sense6 Design, Id2 Groupe, Websense, and other notable companies. Jeff has also shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Portland State University.
