Jean Terranova

Senior Director of Policy and Research

Jean Terranova is a highly experienced food policy expert with a passion for improving public health through medically tailored nutrition services. With a background in culinary arts, law, and activism, Jean is uniquely qualified to lead the food and health policy initiative for leading Massachusetts not-for-profit Community Servings. As Director of Food and Health Policy, Jean works to integrate medically tailored meals into healthcare payment and delivery models for individuals with complex health and social needs.

Jean holds a Professional Chef's Degree in Culinary Arts from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, a B.A. in French and Political Science from the University of Vermont, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to joining Community Servings, Jean ran her own legal practice, the Law Office of Jean Terranova LLC, and worked as a research fellow and advisory board member at The Fisheries Law Centre.

With a deep commitment to social justice and public health, Jean is an active member of the national Food Is Medicine Coalition, advocating for policies that prioritize nutrition as a key component of healthcare. Passionate and driven, Jean is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those coping with complex chronic illnesses through the power of food.
