Jay Hershey is a co-founder of the Corporate & Venture Services business at Piper Sandler, with over 25 years of experience specializing in deep relationships with decision-makers, high-profile transactions, and expertise in Investment Banking.

He oversees the Corporate & Venture Services division for Consumer & Energy sectors and works closely with Private Equity/Venture Capital clients across various industries.

Jay's unique expertise includes executing complex transactions under Rule 144/restricted stock/Prospectus sales, Rule 10b5-1 trading plan strategies, Corporate Buybacks, Block trades, and facilitating strategic equity positions in the open market.

He has established relationships with Senior Executives, Publicly-traded Corporations, Private Equity/Venture Capital firms, General Partners, Angel Investors, High Net Worth (HNW) investors, and Family Offices.

His focus areas include Corporate Services, Block Trading, Venture & Private Equity Services, and HNW & Family Office investment services.

Jay's team at Piper Sandler executes transactions exceeding $2.25 billion annually, manages over $2 billion in assets for global clients, and has completed share repurchases totaling more than $25 billion.

An active figure in the industry, Jay Hershey is the Founder and Featured Speaker at the Annual Piper Jaffray-Cooley LLP Venture Capital Roundtable in Palo Alto since 2001.

He also serves as a Speaker & Faculty at Practising Law Institute's 'Advanced Venture Capital' Program in San Francisco for the years 2011 and 2012.

Jay is Series 7, 63 & 65 Registered and holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
