Jason M. Cronen is an early-stage investor, community builder, and business development strategist with over two decades of experience working with tech giants like YouTube, Tencent, and Lazada, as well as leading sports, hospitality, and consumer brands.
Having invested in startups across the U.S., Europe, Israel, and India, Jason relocated to Southeast Asia in 2019, founding Garden District Ventures in 2020. He has since built strong relationships with founders, capital partners, and local startup communities in Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand.
In Southeast Asia, Jason focuses on supporting fearless founders and challenger brands in driving innovations in areas like financial inclusion, digital health, sustainable food systems, future of work, and global supply chains to enhance the human experience.
Outside of work, Jason is deeply committed to various causes like cancer survivorship, hunger and homelessness, environmental conservation, and historic preservation. He enjoys skiing, kayaking, camping, craft beer, brass bands, and is an avid reader with a passion for travel, having visited 58 countries.
With a background in Communications and Media Studies from College of Charleston, Jason has been associated with organizations like Techstars, Seedstars, and has held roles ranging from Managing Partner at Garden District Ventures to being an Angel Investor, Co-Founder, Consultant, Director, and Founder at various ventures and associations.
