Jason Lyon

Jason Lyon is a City Councilmember representing District 7 in Pasadena, California. He was born in Kentucky and raised in North Carolina. Lyon graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures. He later moved to Southern California in 1998, where he worked as a documentary film producer before earning his Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law. Currently, he is a partner at the Pasadena law firm Hahn & Hahn, focusing on business litigation with an emphasis on partnership disputes.23

Lyon has a strong commitment to community service and has been involved in various local initiatives. His experience includes serving on the City Planning Commission, where he advocated for residents' needs and worked on issues such as affordable housing and homelessness.12 He emphasizes collaboration and responsiveness as key qualities for effective leadership in municipal governance.12
