Jared Powers serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University, along with a teaching certificate from Mercer University.12
Powers began his career at MJCCA as the Assistant Sports and Camp Director and progressed to roles such as Chief Program Officer, where he oversaw all programs and services.1 He has been recognized with several awards, including the Marilyn Shubin Professional Staff Development Award for his contributions to the Atlanta Jewish community and the MJCCA Leadership Award.13
Under his leadership since being appointed CEO in 2016, MJCCA has significantly expanded its day camps, establishing itself as home to one of the largest JCC day camp programs in the country.62 His extensive experience in program development and personnel management has positioned him as a key figure in enhancing community engagement and service delivery at MJCCA.45
