Janet Lee

Introducing Janet Lee, an accomplished legal professional with expertise in employment, benefits, compensation, and intellectual property. Janet obtained her Juris Doctorate at Cardozo School of Law, and her B.S. in Chemical Biology at Stevens Institute of Technology. With over a decade of experience in various legal roles, Janet has worked for top-tier law firms and leading corporations such as Cigna. Currently, she serves as Senior Counsel - Employment, Benefits and Compensation at Cigna.

Prior to her current role, Janet held various positions within Cigna, including Associate Senior Counsel - Employment, Benefits, and Compensation and Counsel - Cigna Leave Solutions/Cigna Group Insurance. In these positions, Janet provided legal advice on complex employment and benefit issues, including employee leaves, ADA accommodations, and ERISA. She has also served as an adjunct faculty at Lorman Education Services, teaching legal professionals about employment law topics.

Janet's legal expertise is broad and includes litigation, counseling, and transactional work. As a former Senior Associate at Blank Rome LLP and Of Counsel at Jackson Lewis P.C., Janet gained valuable experience representing employers in a wide range of industries in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and before arbitrators. She has also worked at Martin Clearwater & Bell and Marshall, Conway & Wright.
