Jan Miczaika

Jan Miczaika is a Partner at HV Capital, actively investing in consumer apps, marketplaces, enterprise software, and frontier tech.

With a background as the COO at Wooga, a Berlin-based mobile game developer, Jan was instrumental in launching and scaling their games, overseeing various aspects like Marketing, User Acquisition, Analytics, Corporate Development, Operations, and Japan Office.

Prior to his time at Wooga, Jan co-founded Hitmeister, an e-commerce platform eventually acquired by Real – METRO Group, where he focused on Product & IT development, including programming functionalities of the platform.

As an angel investor since 2007, Jan has supported around 20 companies, some of which have been successfully acquired, such as Audibene, Wooga, and Homeday.

Jan's educational background includes studies in Buyouts / Entrepreneurial Finance at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Strategic Management, and Managerial Accounting at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and attending Deutsche Schule Rom.

Throughout his career, Jan has been involved with various organizations, serving in roles like Board Observer and Board Member across multiple companies, showcasing his diverse expertise and interests.
