McDonough has a notable history of leadership in high-growth cybersecurity companies. He was the President and COO of Sourcefire from 2002 until its acquisition by Cisco for $2.7 billion in 2013. Under his leadership, Sourcefire's revenues surged from approximately $1 million to nearly $300 million, culminating in a successful IPO in 2007.
