My work focuses on both the internal and external implications of branding—in particular its impact on strategy, operations, and culture.I've had the privilege of working with a variety of mission-driven pioneers including Sesame Street, Oscar Health, Duolingo, Acumen, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, WITNESS, Herman Miller, UNDP, National Geographic, Cruise, and Natural Resources Defense Council. I also freelance as a strategist with leading branding and digital agencies including Johnson Banks, Gretel, Hyperakt, Briteweb, and PUBLIQ, and serve as a strategic advisor to several startups—notably as a Matter Ventures Mentor and CivicXcel Advisor.

Acumen is a non-profit whose mission is to change the way the world tackles poverty. The organization is a pioneer and leader in the social enterprise and impact investing sectors. As head of branding at Acumen, I partnered with London-based studio, Johnson Banks, on a global rebranding of of the organization, including a strategic renaming and repositioning of the organization, the co-authoring of a new mission statement and manifesto, the development of a new logo and visual identity, and the production of a new website. The rebranding received praise from Richard Branson, Seth Godin, Creative Review, Design Week, and Brand New, and received an inaugural Brand Impact Award from Computer Arts Magazine.In this role, I also led online communications and fundraising, building a community of over half a million supporters, and garnering frequent praise for Acumen as one of the most influential non-profits on Twitter. Campaigns I produced during this time were featured by YouTube, ABC News, GOOD, Design Observer, Core77, PSFK, Brain Pickings, and Swissmiss. Acumen's website was chosen as the "Site of the Day" by Awwwards and received numerous “best non-profit website” honors.

In its current form, Modea is a digital consulting company that helps healthcare companies thrive in the face of change. During my time there, Modea was a digital advertising agency first known as Nueweb, then Exemplum. As the company’s first employee, I developed a strategic marketing plan that was instrumental in securing a Series A investment. As Director of Business Development, I led the consumer goods vertical and helped expand the company’s products and services to telecommunications and healthcare. I was responsible for developing and managing key client relationships for dozens of global brands including Canon, Samsung, Verizon, Mattel, Reebok, and Johnson & Johnson, and established strategic partnerships with Amazon and Best Buy.
