James D. Woods, Ph.D.

James Woods, has over 17 years of experience in fraud investigations, valuation projects, economic impact studies, intellectual asset management, and litigation matters. He is also an adjunct professor of finance for the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston currently teaching financial statements analysis to Masters of Business students. He primarily assists clients with issues relating to the value of intellectual property, and his litigation experience includes patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright infringements, fraud, wrongful death, employment, and contract disputes. James has provided expert testimony, developed royalty investigations, and calculated reasonable royalty and lost profit calculations using various methodologies. He studied at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business, and Texas A&M University - Mays Business School.
