James L. Rubenstein, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He has a distinguished educational background, having earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stanford University in 1985, followed by a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience from Rockefeller University in 1991.
