James Nowlin

James R. Nowlin is the CEO and Managing Partner of Excel Global Partners (EGP), an executive consulting firm he founded in 2007. Based in Austin, Texas, EGP specializes in corporate financial and management consulting. Under his leadership, the firm has successfully engaged with clients across 15 countries and more than 20 states.125

Nowlin's background is marked by resilience; he overcame a challenging childhood characterized by domestic violence and alcoholism. He transformed his mindset from one of scarcity to one of abundance, ultimately becoming a multimillionaire. In addition to his work at EGP, Nowlin is also involved in environmental initiatives through EGP Eco, a firm focused on water reduction technology. He has a diverse educational background, having studied at the University of Virginia, Howard University, and Duke University, although he ultimately chose not to pursue a career in medicine or law.234
