He studied MBChB, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the prestigious University of Cape Town.

Throughout his career, James has held various positions in renowned healthcare institutions where he demonstrated his expertise and commitment to providing top-notch medical care.

He has served as a Medical Officer in Surgery at Somerset Hospital, Critical Care Team at Groote Schuur Hospital, and Victoria Hospital Surgery under the Western Cape Government.

James has also worked as a Flight Doctor for organizations such as Netcare, SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service, and ER24, where he provided medical assistance in high-stress situations like aeromedical evacuations.
