Matthew Tanzi is a driven, ambitious resident physician with a deep interest in emergency medicine, sports medicine, critical care and resuscitation. With a focus on public and global health initiatives, infectious diseases, and human trafficking, Tanzi is dedicated to serving his community and making a positive impact on the world.
Tanzi's academic background includes studying an Advanced Regents Diploma at Harborfields High School and pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Hamilton College. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College before serving as a Resident Physician at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Beyond his clinical practice, Tanzi has volunteered in various healthcare settings including the Suffolk County Medical Reserve Corps and M.A. Connell Funeral Home. Additionally, he has served as a Tutor at Revolution Prep, a Research Assistant at Northwell Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, and an Intern at various medical institutions including Mount Sinai North Shore Medical Group, NSLIJ Huntington Hospital Anesthesia Group and Riverside Regional Medical Center.
