James Muller

James Muller is the Principal Environmental Planner at the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and has been in this role for over ten years. He manages the Integrated Regional Water Management Program, which is funded by the California Department of Water Resources. This program focuses on implementing water management solutions on a regional scale, aiming to enhance water quality, flood management, and ecosystem restoration while addressing social and economic objectives.

Muller has played a significant role in various initiatives, including the San Francisco Estuary Partnership's Tap Water Testing Program, which involved community-driven efforts to assess tap water quality in disadvantaged neighborhoods. This program was notable for its extensive data collection and community engagement, addressing concerns regarding water quality and accessibility in underserved communities.12

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Radford University and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco.1
