James (Mac) McArthur
Interim Chief Executive Officer
James McArthur is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel with over 31 years of experience in strategic, operational and tactical thinking, program and operations management. He has also demonstrated the ability to anticipate issues and risks and develop problem-solving strategies in a dynamic, demanding environment.
McArthur has received several degrees including a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Washington State University, a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University, and has studied Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational Strategic and Operational Planning at Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University.
Throughout his career, McArthur has held several positions in multiple organizations, including Deputy Program Manager at Corps Solutions and Chief of Staff at the Training and Education Command in the United States Marine Corps. He has also served as the Assistant Chief of Staff at European Command at the U.S European Command, the Chief of Joint Doctrine Division at J-7 Joint Force Development at Joint Staff, and the Director of the Fires and Maneuver Integration Division and the Head of Doctrine Control Branch at Headquarters Marine Corps.
McArthur has extensive experience as a Battalion Commander, Infantry Company Commander, Weapons Company Executive Officer, Weapons Platoon Commander, and Infantry Platoon Commander in different battalions and companies within the United States Marine Corps. He has also served as a Security Force Platoon Commander and Officer-in-Charge Special Response Team at the Marine Corps Security Force Regiment.
