James Garland

James Garland is an accomplished researcher in Machine Learning, Software, FPGA, and IC Design Engineering, with extensive experience in Digital SoC / IP ASIC, FPGA, PCB, and software design and testing across various industries.

He has a strong background as a project manager, team leader, and technical expert, in addition to serving as a Lecturer and Research Supervisor at a prominent Irish University and Institute of Technology.

James holds a Master of Science in System Design (Microelectronic), a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic), and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.

His specialties include Project Management, HDL RTL IP digital design and testing, software testing, and PCB design dedicated to ASIC and FPGA applications. He excels in lecturing and project supervision in Embedded Hardware Design and Testing.

With a rich educational background that includes studies at Trinity Business School, Coventry University, and Birmingham City University, James has a diverse range of skills and qualifications that position him as a versatile expert in his field.

Throughout his career, he has been associated with various organizations such as Trinity College Dublin, Xilinx, Institute of Technology Carlow, Xava, IT Tallaght, Lokico, Parthus Technologies, Ceva Inc., ARM, and TRW, showcasing his extensive experience and expertise in the industry.
