James Evans

James Evans is the founder of PhenoVista, an in-vitro biology CRO focusing on assisting biopharma companies in accelerating their discovery screening processes.

With a strong scientific background in systems cell biology, imaging, and informatics, James has delved into research topics like bacterial antibiotic resistance mechanisms, gonadotrophin secretion pathways, immuno-oncology, macrophage adhesion and motility, neurodegeneration, mitochondrial diseases, and adult and embryonic stem cell structures.

He pursued his education with a B.Sc. (hons) in Applied Biology with European Studies from Coventry University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Edinburgh University.

Throughout his career, James Evans has held key positions such as CEO at Phenovista Biosciences, Founding Principal at Anon Consulting, Director of Product Development at Gaia Medical, Director of Automated Biotechnology at Vala Sciences, Assistant Director at the Whitehead MIT BioImaging Center at MIT, CSBi Research Scientist at Whitehead MIT BioImaging, Postdoctoral Associate at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, and Graduate Student at the Medical Research Council at Edinburgh University.
