James Artist

James Animation Artist is an experienced animator, storyboard artist, and previz artist who has worked on various CG animated feature film projects in Beijing China and New Zealand since 2014. His background includes contributions to Disney and Universal theme parks, major VFX live-action films and TV series, such as 'American Horror Stories' and 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'.

With a career spanning decades, James has honed his expertise in 2D and 3D character animation, having been mentored by Disney's Eric Larson in the late 1970s. His versatile skill set encompasses character designing, previz animation, directing, editing, writing, producing, storyboarding, and CG visdev for both live-action and animated films.

James Animation Artist also holds positions such as Creative Director at Beijing Studio, Animation Director, and Storyboard Artist at Huhu Studios. He has played diverse roles in different organizations, from CG Character Animator to Creative Consultant and Teacher. His work includes projects with major studios and a new 'Monkey King' animated feature set for release in 2020.
