Jacquelyn Sumer

Jacquelyn Sumer is a highly accomplished legal professional with a strong background in corporate law and compliance.

She holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law and Legal Studies, both from Duke University School of Law. Additionally, she completed her Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs with Magna cum laude honors from Bucknell University.

Throughout her career, Jacquelyn has held key positions in various prestigious organizations. Currently, she serves as the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Genocea.

Previously, she held the role of Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Worldwide Hematology and Cell Therapy at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director, Head CAR T Legal at Celgene, where she also served as the Executive Director for the Hematology/Oncology Franchise.

Her experience also includes working as the Executive Director of Pharmaceuticals Counsel at Novartis, as an Associate at Kaye Scholer LLP, and as a Law Clerk at the United States District Court in the District of Columbia.
