Izhar Buendia

Izhar Buendia, a seasoned Senior Product Designer at Netflix, has made it his life's mission to simplify complex things for various audiences to understand. Driven by an insatiable appetite for a challenge, Buendia uses his expertise in media, communication, and human-computer interaction to create and design products that are enjoyable, informative, and easy to use.

Buendia started his journey as a Web Developer at Qualified Technology, where he honed his technical skills in coding and programming. He then worked as a Media Production Director at Ouachita Hills College, where he developed his creative skills in media production, graphic design, and creative writing.

He went on to study at the University of Michigan, earning a Master's Degree in Master of Science in Information, Human-Computer Interaction. During his studies, he served as a UX Designer Intern at GE Digital and as an Experience Designer Intern at the Library of Congress, where he gained invaluable industry experience in user experience research, user interface design, and usability testing.

After earning his Master's Degree, Buendia worked as a Product Designer at D2iQ and OpenTable. At these companies, his focus was on product design, prototyping, and user research. He has also served as an Interaction Designer at GE Digital, where he worked on digital products for the medical, aviation, and power & utility industries.

Buendia's high level of proficiency in product design, product strategy, and user experience have made him an invaluable member of the Netflix team. At Netflix, he has worked on various products, including mobile and TV streaming applications, and personalization features.
