Isabel Young
Artist and Tutor (Research) - Graduate Diploma in Art & Design at the Royal College of Art
Isabel Young is a talented artist and tutor at the prestigious Royal College of Art in London. She holds a Masters in Fine Art from the Royal College of Art and a Masters in Landscape Architecture with Distinction from the University of Greenwich. Young has showcased her works extensively across the UK and internationally, with solo exhibitions in London and the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle.
Her artistic achievements have been recognized with awards such as the Gilchrist Fisher Award for Landscape Painting, The Gordon Luton Award for Fine Art, the Basel H. Alkazzi Travel Scholarship to New York, and the Jerwood Contemporary Painters Award. She also received a grant from the Oppenheim-John Downes Memorial Trust to further develop her practice and create new paintings.
In addition to her successful art career, Young has over a decade of experience lecturing in art, design, and media at esteemed institutions like the University for the Creative Arts, University of Gloucestershire, University of the Arts London, and City of Westminster College. She currently holds the position of Course Manager in Graphics & 3D/Architecture at City of Westminster College and is a Visiting Lecturer at The Art Academy. Young is also part of the Department of International Studies at the University for the Creative Arts, teaching in the art, design, and media disciplines within the International Pathway Programmes.
