As the Wild Muse Curation & Events Manager, my Post-Launch responsibilities include (+Pre-Launch):
• Develop and implement monthly and quarterly plans for strategy and daily operations to drive sales; increase traffic; determine product performance through placement and promotions; monitor demands and analyze sales trends to anticipate inventory, logistical and staffing needs; improve staff engagement, performance and productivity.
• Create, manage and achieve measurable financial goals and strategies promoting profitability including an annual budget, KPI’s, pricing methods, inventory variances, labor and expenses. Perform monthly audits while monitoring and reconciling discrepancies.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with artists, designers, suppliers, and wholesalers from around the world to ensure a new and exciting rotation of merchandise based on trends, events and seasonality; negotiate contracts and terms; process purchase orders and payments; improve supply chain logistics.
• Recruit, train and manage a sales team of 20 members. Build and execute a training program with store policies, procedures, and product education. Oversee and coordinate staff responsibilities delegating tasks. Ensure team adheres to all property policies.
• Research and evaluate new artists, designers, products, market trends, styles and key festivals/events to provide a wide selection of merchandise.
• Provide excellent experience to visitors, resolve all issues and concerns in a timely manner.
• Oversee inventory management including monthly inventory counts, variance resolution, pricing updates, programming and stock levels for reorders.
• Work with the marketing team in developing strategies and initiatives. Launch social media channels; featuring product, artists and events. Plan and execute photo shoots for content creation establishing the brand as a fashion and art destination.
• Develop a retail events program featuring activations, workshops and markets.

AREA15

Wild Muse Curation & Events Manager | Post-Launch

AREA15 is a 200,000 sqft, wholly re-imagined world weaving together immersive experiences, specialty retail, themed events, art installations, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. Wild Muse is a 2,000 sqft specialty retail store focusing on transformation through fashion and art.

As the Wild Muse Curation & Events Manager, my Pre-Launch responsibilities included:
• Create and execute a business plan, implementing strategies and objectives for the curation and launch of a 2,000 square-foot retail store called Wild Muse in a new construction project called AREA15.
• Hand-select unique, one-of-a-kind, artisan crafted and eco-friendly specialty apparel, accessories, jewelry, art, cosmic goods, health and wellness products from local to global creators, artists and designers; engaging with more than 75 partners and selecting over 1500 items/SKU’s.
• Design and produce a line of branded merchandise for the AREA15 and Wild Muse brands including apparel, accessories, jewelry, travel, gifts, kids and toys.
• Prepare a financial plan with annual projections for revenue, expenses and budgets.
• Work with a designer team to build the store layout; identifying fixtures and display needs for launch while creating a dynamic planogram for visual displays, aesthetics, product organization and backstock of inventory in the store.
• Work with the warehouse team to build and manage the inventory backstock.
