Inmaculada Hernandez

Inmaculada Hernandez is an accomplished professional with a PharmD from the University of Navarra (Spain) and a PhD in Health Services Research and Policy from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) after starting her academic career at the University of Pittsburgh.
Her research primarily focuses on assessing clinical and economic outcomes of oral anticoagulant agents and investigating pharmaceutical pricing. With over 75 peer-reviewed scientific publications, she has been a first or senior author on more than 50 articles published in prestigious journals like JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Health Affairs.
Recognized for her contributions, Inmaculada is a principal investigator on multiple research grants, including a K01 and an R01 investigating oral anticoagulation use in atrial fibrillation. She received accolades like Forbes' 30 under 30 list and the Academy Health Alice S. Hersh Emerging Leader Award for her outstanding work in healthcare research.
