Ian Yule

Ian Yule is an accomplished academic with over 38 years of experience in higher education, specializing in Precision Agriculture and Agritech. He has a strong background in conducting industry-relevant research and commercialization projects, particularly in precision agriculture, agri-technology, and remote sensing. Ian has a successful history of commercial ventures, having co-founded Hyperceptions, a company focusing on hyperspectral imaging data analysis, and established Stoneleigh Consulting, providing technical support and consultancy services in Agritech and agricultural technology both domestically and internationally. With a solid educational foundation including a BSc(Hons), MSc, and PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Ian is also recognized as a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the IAgrE, as well as having served as the Immediate Past President of the International Society of Precision Agriculture.
