Iain Martin has an extensive background in academia and the medical field. With experience ranging from being a Lecturer and Consultant Surgeon at the University of Leeds to holding positions such as Professor of Surgery at the University of Auckland and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, he has developed a wealth of knowledge in various educational and leadership roles. Iain has also served as the Vice Chancellor at Anglia Ruskin University before being appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Deakin University in 2019. His academic journey includes studying Medicine, Post Compulsory Education, and Surgery at the University of Leeds, where he attained his MBChB, MEd with Distinction, and MD, respectively.
