Howard Langer

Howard Langer is a distinguished legal professional with a focus on complex commercial litigation and antitrust law. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1977, and has since made significant contributions to the field of law.

Throughout his career, Howard has been involved in prominent cases such as the In re Linerboard Antitrust Litigation, leading to notable antitrust recoveries. He also served as lead counsel in class actions resulting in substantial monetary recoveries for victims of telemarketing scams.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Howard received the American Antitrust Institute award for Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Private Law Practice. Currently, he holds the role of co-lead counsel in the In re Nat’l Football League’s Sunday Ticket Antitrust Litigation.

Apart from his legal practice, Howard is a respected academic, serving as a Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. His expertise has been recognized globally, having been a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo Law School and a visiting fellow at the Centre for Competition Law and Policy at Oxford.

Howard Langer's dedication to legal education is evident through his treatise 'Competition Law in the United States,' now in its fourth edition, published by Wolters Kluwer. He received the William J. Brennan, Jr. award for his pro bono work assisting the underprivileged through the Volunteers for the Indigent Program of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Education-wise, Howard holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Master's Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from the City College of New York.
