Herman Widjaja, a Monash University Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering graduate, is a technology innovator with an eye for ground-breaking solutions that can tackle the most daunting obstacles faced by the Indonesian market. He is passionate about nurturing world-class digital talent within the country, with an aim of building a better Indonesia for all.
Widjaja is a well-respected figure both within the industry and the country. Notably, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Tokopedia, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, and as the former Department Head of "Inovasi Keuangan Digital" at Asosiasi FinTech Indonesia. He was also formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Semangat Digital Bangsa and a member of the ASEAN e-Payment Task Force at the World Economic Forum.
His illustrious career took him to some of the world's most innovative technology companies such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft, where he honed his skills as an Engineering Manager, managing influential products like Google AR/VR, Oculus VR, Kindle, and Windows DirectX.
Widjaja has also contributed to academia, serving as a board of advisor at Tokopedia UI AI Center of Excellence, the Universitas Gadjah Mada AI Center of Excellence.
