Chief Growth Officer

As the Director of Advancement at Craft Alliance, I spearhead the creation and execution of a holistic advancement program to achieve our contributed revenue goals, including marketing and communications, partnerships, development, strategic planning, and organizational efficiency. I am a central figure in our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:
Financial Stewardship: Accountable for a development budget of $1.2M. Notably, I secured three times my annual salary in funding for the organization within six months.
Marketing and Communications: I lead all marketing for tuition-based educational classes and workshops, the Craft Alliance Shop, community programs, membership program, and all earned revenue and giving initiatives, including public relations, paid media, earned media, digital and traditional advertising, videography, photography, website, digital newsletters, and direct mail. 
Fundraising Leadership: I've architected a multi-dimensional fundraising initiative encompassing annual gifts, multi-year gifts, planned and major giving, and corporate and foundation contributions, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift donors.
Grant Management: I oversee our grant program, from prospecting, researching, and crafting proposals to building rapport with public funding entities, corporations, and foundations.
Collaboration: I work closely with our Executive Director, staff, and Board to identify and capitalize on philanthropic opportunities. I also serve as the primary liaison to the Board Development Committee.
Event Management: I annually plan and oversee our fundraising events, manage event committees, and am responsible for every aspect, from marketing material creation to event logistics.
Community Engagement: I've injected vitality into our community by organizing events that foster a harmonious relationship between students, members, faculty, and artists.

Craft Alliance

Director of Advancement

The One America Movement is a national nonprofit confronting toxic polarization in our society. We equip faith communities to confront division and work together across political, racial, and religious divides to solve problems that matter. 

Responsibilities & achievements include: 

Providing thought leadership and strategic planning across programming, development, partnerships, and operations as a member of the organization's leadership team. 

Creating a unified communications strategy for a young, nationally dispersed organization while considering the perspectives and needs of a diverse staff and stakeholder community. 

Developing content rooted in the best practices of neuroscience and social science, including setting positive social norms, reducing misconceptions, shifting negative meta-perceptions, and promoting cross-divides outreach. 

Securing coverage in the Associated Press, the Washington Post, USAToday, Salon.com, Inside Philanthropy, The Greater Good Science Center, and other local and faith-based platforms, reaching millions. 

Expanding broad access to training and education, regardless of religious affiliation or geographic area. Incorporated monitoring and evaluation benchmarks into communications systems to ensure the ability to measure the impact of campaigns and efforts. 

Fine-tuning the voice of the One America Movement, bringing fun and levity to a challenging and heavy topic to decrease community apprehensions and resistance to engaging across divides. 

Supported the organization's growth from five staff members to more than 22 employees across the nation. 

Manage a team of communicators and successfully integrated storytelling efforts across teams.
