Harshal Soni is a Bioprocess Engineer with a passion for creativity and challenges, boasting a total of 6 years of experience in both industrial and academic research settings.

His industrial experience spans over 3 years at Research and Development, focusing on the development of innovative purification technologies. On the academic front, he has dedicated 3 years to research in Upstream & Downstream bioprocessing, acquiring a diverse skill set and knowledge in various processes.

Harshal's expertise includes Downstream Process techniques such as Chromatography (HIC, IEC, HPLC, SEC), filtration methods (dead end and tangential flow filtration), Crystallization, Extraction, and Centrifugation. He is also well-versed in Upstream Processes like Fermentation, Media design & Optimization, Microbial isolation, and Design of Experiments.

In addition to his practical skills, Harshal is proficient in various software including Design Expert, Unicorn 7.0, and Microsoft Applications. He also possesses hands-on experience in operating and troubleshooting equipment like AKTA systems (Pure, Explorer, Purifier, Pilot), Column Packing, and Analytical Systems like HPLC and UFLC.

Harshal Soni's educational journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Technology in Biotechnology from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, and a Bachelor's in Biotechnology from Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Throughout his career, Harshal has held various roles in esteemed organizations. He has been a Graduate Student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Senior Research Associate II at Just, Senior Scientist and Scientist at Biocon, and Junior Scientist at Camson Bio Technologies Pvt Ltd. Moreover, he has also contributed as a Placement Coordinator at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, interned at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, and served as a Teaching Assistant at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal.
