Harry Gurin is a prominent figure with a rich background in law enforcement, particularly with the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) where he served for 20 years, eventually rising to the position of Chief of Police before his retirement in 1994. Post his law enforcement career, Harry embarked on various endeavors, such as playing the bugle at funerals, serving as a Unit Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America, and obtaining an Amateur Radio General Class license with the call sign N0KJB. Furthermore, he has been actively involved with the LEES SUMMIT Under Water Recovery team and is associated with the Masonic Lodge in Freeman, Missouri. Harry Gurin received comprehensive education in the field of law enforcement, including studies at the KC MO POLICE ACADEMY focusing on Police Officer training and Conflict Resolution. Additionally, he pursued a Master Angler Degree from the Canadian Anglers Association. Having previously served as the Chief of Police Retired at the Peculiar Police Department, Harry Gurin continues to contribute his expertise and skills to various organizations and causes.
