Hannah Lofthus is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ewing Marion Kauffman School in Kansas City, Missouri.12 She founded the school in 2010 and has been serving as its CEO since then.5 Lofthus is a Teach for America alumna who returned to her hometown to establish the award-winning Ewing Marion Kauffman School, aiming to provide quality education to children in Kansas City.6
Prior to becoming CEO, Lofthus served as the principal of the school for three years.4 Her leadership has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the 2016 Ryan Award for excellence in education.37 This award acknowledges her outstanding contributions as a school leader who has demonstrated exceptional results in urban K-12 schools.
