CEO & Founder at Kojo Technologies
Maria Davidson is the CEO and Founder of Kojo Technologies, a company that specializes in modernizing the construction procurement process. Originally from Moscow, she was raised in Israel and moved to London at the age of 13. Davidson graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, where she also served as President of the Oxford Union.
Before founding Kojo in 2018, Davidson worked as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs and later as Chief of Staff at the venture capital firm 8VC. Her experiences in the tech and finance sectors, combined with her observations of the construction industry's inefficiencies, inspired her to create Kojo. The platform aims to streamline material procurement, significantly reduce waste, and enhance productivity within the construction sector, which has historically lagged in technological adoption.
Under her leadership, Kojo has rapidly grown, processing over $1 billion in materials orders and serving thousands of customers across the U.S. The company has raised substantial funding, totaling $84 million, and has been recognized for its innovative approach to construction technology. Davidson's work has earned her accolades, including being named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 and receiving the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2023.
Davidson emphasizes a mission to make cities more affordable and accessible, driven by a commitment to improving construction practices and addressing the challenges faced by the industry.12345
