Hakan Ceylan

Hakan Ceylan is a seasoned Senior Research Engineer who has specialized in natural language processing, partial order planning, and reinforcement learning. He completed his PhD and MS degrees in computer science at the University of North Texas and his BS degree at Middle East Technical University. Hakan has worked on various projects such as large-scale recommendation systems, text analysis, entity extraction, language identification, context-sensitive adjectives disambiguation, and efficient indexing and retrieval of large data. Hakan is passionate about statistical learning techniques and their applications to real-world problems. He has worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Yahoo! (Software Systems Development Engineer) at Yahoo!, an Intern at Maxim Integrated Products, a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of North Texas. Currently, he is working for Netflix.
