Gustavo Pimentel, a sustainable finance and ESG expert, has been voted the best global ESG analyst by independent research firm, Extel’s IRRI. Pimentel currently serves as the Executive Director of SITAWI - Finance for Good, leading Latin America's largest practice on ESG research and sustainable finance consulting with more than 45 professionals. With experience in finance and consulting, he advises financial institutions and companies on integrating environmental and social issues into their risk assessment, product development, investments analysis, and strategy. Other roles Pimentel has held include: former Consultant, Inclusive Business at UNDP, Managing Partner, Sustainability Practice at Dinamus Inteligência em Negócios, and Manager, Eco-Finance Program at Friends of the Earth - Brazilian Amazon. He possesses a BA in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, an International MBA from IE Business School, and a Certificate in Responsible Investment from the University of St Andrews.
