Grahame Morris

Grahame Mark Morris is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Easington since 2010.1 Born on 13 March 1961, Morris was educated at Howletch Comprehensive School and initially worked as a medical laboratory scientific officer in Sunderland hospitals.1 He entered politics in 1987 as a District Councillor for Easington and later worked as a researcher for John Cummings before becoming an MP.1
In Parliament, Morris has served on various committees and briefly held a position in Jeremy Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet in 2016.1 He is known for his left-wing political stance within the Labour Party and chairs the Labour Friends of Palestine & the Middle East.1 Morris has been re-elected multiple times, most recently in the 2024 general election with 48.9% of the vote.1
Morris lives in Seaham, County Durham, is married with two sons, and is a supporter of Sunderland A.F.C.1 His constituency office is located at Seaton Holme, Hall Walks, Easington, County Durham.23
