Full-stack developer in the corporate sector of the Telecommunications industry, providing software solutions to service providers and corporate clients that manage mobile, data and fixed line spending, with a view onto full enterprise cost management. 

Telecoms is an environment with highly complex data structures and great potential to turn that data into actionable knowledge - to that end, I focused on providing data rich views and data visualisations, with a modern and innovative interface and a well though out back end. Solutions are used by hundreds of South African and International corporate clients and products we authored include Vodacom's Spend Manager, Neotel's Neobill, Cell C Business, Telkom TMS etc.

Duties included:

UX research and design, UI development using MVC, HTML5, jQuery/JS, CSS/SCSS, and responsive frameworks like Bootstrap.

Database design and scripting (MSSQL).

Data access layer setup and advanced querying with Entity Framework.

C# Web API development with ASP.NET, as well as integration with external API gateways (Vodacom, Cell C, Neotel).

Writing own jQuery navigation and visualisation plug-ins, recently re-writing some in Angular with TypeScript.

Completed several solutions using Angular/HTML5/JS as a front-end.

Completed a mobile app using Ionic (Angular/HTML5/JS)

Writing unit tests with Microsoft's built in tools and Nunit.

Creating windows services that make use of the MSMQ.

Creating Reports using DevXpress reporting tools.

Automated build and deployments with Team City and Octopus Deploy.

Using project management tools like Pivotal Tracker and Jira.

Affinity is a software house focused on providing solutions to Credit Bureaus and branching out into Risk Management, Corporate governance and Telecoms. 

Lead developer on several flagship products for clients, including the "Association Matrix", a governance tool that uses the CIPRO database to visualise connections between directors of a Company and it's Suppliers in a social graph format. C#/MSSQL/SSRS/EF/MVC/JS/jQuery/HTML5/CSS.

Joined AU/AdaptIT after completing several successful projects for them.
