Head, 1t.org at the World Economic Forum
Gill Cassar is the Head of Environment and Sustainability at the World Economic Forum (WEF).1 She leads the 1t.org initiative, which aims to conserve, restore, and grow a trillion trees by 2030.2 Cassar is responsible for managing content development for WEF's public agenda on climate, water, pollution, circular economy, forests, conservation, and clean energy.1 She engages experts with innovative technologies to improve management of global commons.1
Prior to her role at WEF, Cassar worked as a manager at Dalberg, a management consulting firm focused on global development.1 She has also founded her own NGO and mentored women entrepreneurs in the environmental sector through the Cherie Blair Foundation.1 In 2017, Cassar received the "Gender and Environment Advocate in Geneva" award.1
