Gilbert A. Darrell

Gilbert A. Darrell is currently the Secretary of the Bermuda Rugby Football Union.123 He is an experienced US-trained paramedic and rescue instructor who has set up Marine Rescue Services in Bermuda.15

Prior to his current role, Darrell held positions at Bermuda Air Ambulance and Horizon Communications.3 He recently returned to Bermuda with plans to expand his business ventures, with the goal of ensuring all residents and visitors have access to advanced life-saving skills.5

Darrell is also known for his political career. He was a co-founder and former leader of the National Liberal Party in Bermuda.7 Darrell served as a Member of Parliament and was recalled by his colleague Lionel Simmons as a respected veteran politician.46
