Christopher is part of a team responsible for taking Emergency Management and Continuity of Operations to the next level. Working under the direction of the Emergency Management Administrator, Christopher is responsible for supporting the strategic goals of Customer Experience, Safe & Secure, Operational Excellence, Business Performance and Employee Engagement during routine, irregular and emergency response operations and conditions. In order to do this, Christopher leads crisis operations as the EOC Manager, and works with team members from across the enterprise to help develop processes that meet the needs of, and address the challenges of, operating a global super hub. Additionally Christopher continues to build relationships with partners and stakeholders around the airport to understand their needs and how to better support their operations. By doing so, Christopher can quickly help to coordinate a response to mitigate a situation and help to return the airport to normal operations.

In the Fire Schools C.E. section (Non-College Credit) Christopher provides instruction in Fire Officer, Fire Instructor, Vehicle Rescue Technician, Haz-Mat Technician, Swift Water Rescue Technician and Fire Recruit education. He also provides annual continuing education to area departments that contract with TCC, conduct Live Fire Training as well as Physical Agility Testing. Additionally, He develops and delivers "Train-the-Trainer" classes on instructional materials.

In the Fire Schools College Credit Program Christopher instructs in the "College Credit for Heroes" program. These credit courses include Fire Administration, Fire Chemistry, Hazardous Materials, Building Codes and Construction, Fire Prevention Codes and Inspections and Fire Service Hydraulics. - TCC offers accelerated coursework opportunities for the Fire Technology Program at Northwest Campus as part of phase II of the College Credit for Heroes program.

College Credit for Heroes is a partnership between the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to ensure our active duty, former and retired military personnel receive the credit they earned for their service to our country.

If you qualify for credit for military service, you are eligible to earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Fire Protection Technology."

Adjunct Instructor

Christopher provides instruction during the Spring Fire School (40 Hour Course) for certification as an Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) firefighter under NFPA 1003. The course also covers the eleven subject matters required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulation. The class consists of classroom and hands-on tactics and strategy training. While this course does not meet the requirements for an ARFF Certification in the State of Texas under the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, participants who successfully complete the course and pass the written and skills test and meet all prerequisites are eligible to test for the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) certification.

Spring School Guest Instructor

Christopher supervises a crew of 7 Firefighters; 1 Quint Company and 2 ARFF Units; and manage the day-to-day operations of the Station. He is also responsible for managing the scheduling, staffing and payroll of his shift. He also operates in the position of Incident Commander or another assigned function in the National Incident Management System during emergency response. Mitigates emergency situations and restores normal activities to the area as quickly and safely as possible.

Christopher is also the Commander of the DPS-Fire Services Honor Guard which is responsible for presenting the National, State and Local Colors during special events, as well as providing other services and support for other occasions such as special events, funerals and promotions. Additionally, he is also a member of the DPS-Fire Services statewide emergency response team that responds as part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) to large-scale emergencies such as large wildland fires and hurricanes. The Airport's "TIFMAS" team is also attached to DFW Airport's SEADOG response team (Southeast Airports Disaster Operations Group), which is part of the AAAE (American Association of Airport Executives) Southeast Chapter. This group is tasked with getting airports back in operations within the southeast U.S. in the event of a disaster. 

Furthermore, Christopher is also an Adjunct Instructor at the DFW Airport Fire Training and Research Center. As an Adjunct Instructor he provides instruction in classes covering basic and advanced aircraft rescue firefighting, re-current FAA FAR 139 training, Water Rescue, Driver/Operator, Fire Officer and Fire Instructor as well as Live Fire Training.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)

Fire Captain

Report to the on-duty Station Captain. Respond to Fire and EMS emergencies. Operate in an assigned task function in the National Incident Management System during emergency response. Mitigate emergency situations and restore normal activities to the area as quickly and safely as possible. Additionally, Christopher was a member of the DPS Fire Services Honor Guard as well as a member of the Fire Services Special Operations Team.

Provided 911 emergency response, as well as emergency and non-emergency transfers. Christopher provided BLS treatment, ALS support for his Paramedic partner and transport for a rapidly growing rural community west of Austin. The community consisted of the southern part of Burnet County as well as south east Llano County covering the cities/communities of Marble Falls, Granite Shoals, Spicewood, Cottonwood Shores and Horseshoe Bay.

EMT - Basic (Part-time)

Reported to the on-duty Station Captain. Respond to Fire and EMS emergencies in a municiple and rural setting. Operate in an assigned task function in the National Incident Management System during emergency response. Mitigate emergency situations and restore normal activities to the area as quickly and safely as possible.

City of Marble Falls, TX

Firefighter/EMT-B (Part-time)

Manage the day to day operations of a Satellite Station. Report to the on-duty Captain at Station 1. Respond to Fire and EMS emergencies. Operate in an assigned task function in the National Incident Management System during emergency response. Mitigate emergency situations and restore normal activities to the area as quickly and safely as possible.

Lake LBJ Municipal Utility District - Horseshoe Bay, TX

Firefighter / EMT-B

Provided First Aid coverage and 911 First Responder services by contract to Sea World San Antonio, The Alamo Dome, San Antonio Convention Center and other venues. Christopher was also trained to obtained drug test sample collection for Sea World San Antonio under their contract. Additionally, he provided BLS treatment to guest, employees and other customers in an office or responding into the field.

As a Part-Time Firefighter, Christopher reported to the on-duty Full-Time Paid Firefighter. He responded to Fire and EMS emergencies to mitigate emergency situations and restore normal activities to the area as quickly and safely as possible.
