Gilad Rosenzweig
Executive Director and Lecturer - MITdesignX
Gilad Rosenzweig is an architect and urban planner with extensive experience in community development, public policy, and innovative design practices spanning over two decades.
Currently serving as the executive director of MITdesignX, a venture accelerator at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Planning, Gilad collaborates with students, faculty, and researchers to foster sustainable businesses and organizations with a global footprint.
In addition to his role at MITdesignX, Gilad holds a senior advisory position at TULU, a startup focused on on-demand access to household, leisure, and mobility products.
He is also the founder of Smarter in the City, a non-profit accelerator supporting high-tech startups in Roxbury, an urban neighborhood in Boston.
Throughout his career, Gilad has contributed to urban design and planning endeavors in various cities in the U.S. and Canada, including Calgary, Reno, Toronto, Memphis, and Boston. His architectural portfolio includes residential, commercial, and industrial projects completed across Canada, Israel, and the UK.
Gilad's educational journey includes pursuing a Master's in City Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Dipl.Arch (Master in Architecture) from The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL, and a B.S.D. in Architectural Studies from Arizona State University.
