María Yoma is a seasoned entrepreneur, architect, and MA candidate in Urban Economics, with a strong focus on innovation within urban environments and over a decade of professional experience.
With a background as a Project Manager, María has successfully overseen large-scale metropolitan transportation projects and honed her leadership skills as Chief of Infrastructure Operations, managing a team of 45 individuals.
Currently, María serves as the Founder & CEO of Elevator Ventures, an innovation lab dedicated to creating solutions that drive meaningful change in both private and public sectors within the urban landscape.
María's educational journey includes a Bachelor and Masters in Architecture, Design, and Urbanism from the National University of Córdoba, as well as a Master of Science in Urban Economics from Torcuato Di Tella University.
Furthermore, she has enriched her knowledge through programs such as the Graduate Startup Program at Founder Institute, the Incubator Program at Google for Startups, and executive education courses at Torcuato Di Tella University and IAE Business School.
María's professional background encompasses roles such as Consultant on Public Policy Modernization, Chief of Infrastructure Department, Co-Founder & Director of Perkul Yoma store & studio, and Project Manager in Urban Mobility and Metropolitan Transportation Projects at the Ministry of Transportation of Argentina.
She has also contributed as a Sr. Architectural Designer at FinxDuvey and an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the University of Buenos Aires.
