Gerda Gemser

Gerda Gemser is a Full Professor of (Corporate) Entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Business and Economics. She holds a PhD in Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands.

With a rich academic background, Gerda has held professorships at various prestigious universities in Australia and the Netherlands, including Erasmus University, University of Groningen, Delft University of Technology, and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

She has been a visiting scholar at renowned institutions in North America such as The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and Saunder School of Business, The University of British Columbia.

Gerda Gemser's research interests revolve around the role of design, entrepreneurship, and innovation. She has collaborated with government bodies, professional design associations, and industry on large-scale projects exploring these themes.

Her work can be found in esteemed management publications like Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Journal of Product Innovation Management. She is also actively involved in academic editorial roles, serving as Associate Editor of Journal of Product Innovation Management and Consulting Editor of International Journal of Management Reviews.
