Siu George Ripley

George Ripley is the SIU (Special Investigation Unit) Manager at Donegal Insurance Group.12 He is a seasoned professional with over 26 years of experience in investigation and project management.2 Ripley joined Donegal Insurance Group three years ago and currently manages their SIU, overseeing all activities related to suspected fraud investigations across multiple lines of business.13

Prior to his role at Donegal, Ripley served as a homicide detective for the York (PA) City Police Department for 21 years.1 His responsibilities at Donegal include:

1. Managing all investigative support services for the claims department
2. Providing SIU fraud awareness training for claims staff
3. Managing antifraud programs
4. Complying with yearly SIU reporting to Departments of Insurance1

Ripley holds several certifications and qualifications, including:

• Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI)
• Fraud Claims Law Specialist (FCLS)
• Automotive Claims Law Specialist (ACLS)
• Certified Fire Investigator Technician (IAAI-FIT)

In addition to his primary role, Ripley serves as the 4th Vice President of Northeast-IAATI (International Association of Auto Theft Investigators).2 He is also a magician, performing under the name "Ripley's Believe It..It's Magic".2

Ripley is actively involved in the insurance fraud prevention community, serving as an Insurance Fraud Committee Member for the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and a Public Information Committee Member for the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud.2
