Gayan Koralage

Gayan Koralage is a prominent figure in the telecommunications industry, known for his role as a key member of edotco Group, a leading tower company in Asia with a workforce of 20,000 employees across eight markets.

In his current position as the Director of Group Strategy, Gayan oversees long-term strategic initiatives, pricing, analytics, mergers and acquisitions, performance analysis, and project management.

He played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding edotco Group since 2013, including facilitating private placements of company shares to prominent sovereign wealth funds from Japan and Malaysia.

During his tenure at Axiata/Telekom Malaysia, Gayan was actively involved in significant corporate events such as the Telekom Malaysia-Axiata demerger in 2007 and executing crucial merger and acquisition deals across Asia and the Middle East.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Gayan is passionate about food and fitness, interests he shares with his diverse team at work.

Educationally, Gayan pursued membership at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and attended the prestigious Royal College in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

His extensive professional experience includes roles such as Director of Strategy and Commercial, Director of Business Development, Executive positions in finance and business development at Axiata and Dialog Axiata PLC, and managerial positions at various telecom companies in Asia.
