Highlights
a personal request for the @YouTube homepage
i'm a heavy YT consumer meaning i watch a lot of videos and have deeply tuned my algorithm to make it useful
and i hugely appreciate YT surfacing tiny channels (under 1k subs) in my feed to discover new voices...
heck i was a new voice (and still kind of am with 17k subs for @AIForHumansShow) but right now the balance feels off.
i'm not seeing enough of the creators i've decided to subscribe to and (imo) too many brand new creators (for me the balance seems to be about 1/4 new creators vs my choices)
my suggestion: have a single box on the homepage be about new channel discovery -- maybe even have that box be highlighted in someway & allow me to dive deeper into that section somehow
it's so tricky because i know how hard it is to grow at YT channel right now -- it's a HUGE grind but also I feel like I'm missing a ton of stuff from the people i chose to follow
it's a hard prob to solve but i feel like we've gone too far in the other direction... thoughts?
