Gautam Aggarwal

Gautam Aggarwal is a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in technology and service operations, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Mastercard in AP, Gautam leads the innovation and delivery of AP-specific technology solutions and oversees substantial technology investments. With a proven track record, he has driven pivotal projects such as the first PBOC-certified bankcard clearing switch for Mastercard's entry into China and the establishment of a regional-hub for real-time payments. Prior to his current role, Gautam held significant positions at Mastercard, including Group Head & Senior Vice President for Domestic & Real-time Payments, and Senior Business Leader & Vice President for Global Strategy & Corporate Development. His strategic initiatives have led to major acquisitions, partnerships, and investments, positioning Mastercard as a key player in the payment industry. Prior to joining Mastercard, Gautam worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, gaining valuable experience across various industries like Private Equity, Banking, TMT, and Healthcare. Starting his career at a valley start-up, Deem, Gautam was instrumental in securing substantial funding from major financial institutions like Chase and Amex. Gautam holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, along with master's and bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from Cornell University and Manipal Institute of Technology, respectively.
